Reference Architectures describe reusable, implementation-independent architectural patterns and models built on AAOE's accepted specifications. They define capabilities, responsibilities, and relationships — not technologies, vendors, or products.

• Draft — introduced and under refinement.
• Accepted — approved and in effect.
• Revised — accepted, and since incrementally updated.
• Superseded — replaced by a later specification.
• Archived — retained for history; no longer in effect.
