Definition
Context is the information required for effective engineering collaboration between humans and AI, treated as a first-class engineering artifact. It includes Specifications, Standards, ADRs, Work Orders, Architecture Reviews, Implementation Reports, existing source code, domain knowledge, and business rules — not just the text of a prompt.
Why It Matters
Engineering decisions are only as good as the information available when they're made. During the SolOh ERP Modernization, AI implementation quality tracked context quality more strongly than prompt sophistication: as specifications and other engineering artifacts matured, prompts became simpler and implementation quality improved.
