Definition
Validation is the canonical Work Order section that states how the Implementation Agent, or a reviewer, can confirm the result meets the objective. In the Discovery Lifecycle and Body of Knowledge Governance, validation also refers to the process by which repeated evidence increases confidence in a Discovery before it is generalized.
Why It Matters
Without validation criteria, "done" is left to interpretation. Validation gives both implementers and reviewers a concrete, checkable basis for confirming that engineering work — or an engineering observation — actually holds up, rather than relying on confidence alone.
